Our History

Our business is a family run business with over 56 years of experience between us. Johnny Bihlear runs the estimates, meets the home/business owners, and organizes the jobs. The sons, Sean and Jason, run the job site. Our work is never subbed out.

We have been in business since 1988. In 1993, we recieved our South Carolina Residential Builder License. In 1995, we were one of the first contractors to install a pre-fabricated and pre-painted metal roof in the lowcountry. We installed 300 squares for Disney on Hilton-Head. At that time the metal had a 20 year warranty and wasn't energy efficient. Since that time we have installed over 700 roofs.

The metal has gotten better with a 40 year warranty and now has a valspar coating which greatly helped curb the fading problem. Also all the colors offered are energy efficient. The painted screws that secure the roof on have a neoprine washer instead of the rubber washer that would dry rot. For Charleston county, Code requires us to secure the metal every 2 feet with a screw. Most other locations in the lowcountry area have a 3 feet code.
