Roof Information: What types of roofs are there?

Standing Seam

The Standing Seam (aka the "Nail Strip") has the traditional Charleston look with one inch standing seams and 16 inch flat valleys between them. You have the option of pan reinforcement lines to help with oil canning (aka "Metal Wrinkling"). This roof is the most preferred, but also the most costly due to the fact that it has no screws shown on the roof. The screws are hidden beneath the seams as the metal overlaps and covers the screws. Everything is folded and locked into place. It usually has the longer installation period due to the extra work it requires.

R-Panel

R-Panel is mainly used on warehouses or other similar storage buildings. It has a 1 inch height and is three feet wide per panel, with a 12 inch gap spanning each hump. This type of roof is installed with either wooden screws or self tappers.
